Fire Sprinklers and Alarms

Over $25 million of work on fire sprinkler systems and upgraded fire alarms were funded by the 2017 bond.

Upgrades brought sprinkler and alarm systems up to current life safety codes. Schools received the following upgrades, as needed:

Sprinkler system installation or expansion
Sprinkler head upgrades
Piping upgrades and backflow prevention
Connection of flow switches to fire alarm systems

We are designing or upgrading fire sprinkler systems and/or updated alarms at these schools. Work is completed outside of instruction hours to reduce impacts to student instruction.

Upgrades for these schools are in design and will be constructed starting in September. We anticipate they will be completed in late spring 2027:
