Portland Public Schools is undertaking a districtwide rightsizing process to better align our schools, programs, and resources with the needs of today’s students and the realities shaping our future.
Lead point stabilization work funded by the 2017 bond is complete. Work was completed at 84 sites.
We stabilized peeling, chipping, chalking or cracking paint by using a heavy-penetrating primer and top coating. Some cases required more involved remediation and preparation work. Painting was completed by EPA-certified painters.
