Roof Replacement
Bond funds support the replacement and upgrade of aging school roofs. Roofs may be completely replaced or only partially replaced as needed. Leaky skylights, sheet metal and other roofing materials are replaced. Additional insulation, rooftop equipment and other upgrades may also be added.
Roof replacements are designed to improve seismic resiliency by improving bracing, strengthening roof decks, and improving roof-to-wall connection. While this work does not bring buildings entirely up to current seismic code, replacements are designed to make future seismic work easier and less costly.
